What "city" means here
Each city page covers the full metropolitan statistical area that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics tracks — the city plus its surrounding counties. That is how official local pay is published, and why a page for a whole metro is more accurate than a single city center. If a wage is marked "not published for this metro area", the BLS did not release a figure for that occupation there.
